"My studio overlooks a neighbour’s untamed garden. I am always looking into the garden with its tall and lush Jackfruit, mango and neem trees, their branches tangled and interlaced with smaller trees and wild growing shrubs. In this series, I have tried to capture fragments of this borrowed scenery, exploring the ever changing play of light through this dense foliage; how the morning sun bleeds golden through jackfruit leaves, how the afternoon sharpens shadows into stark patterns, and how the evening light softens the chaos into silhouette." – Marie Gnanaraj
